agglo is beautiful.

 

started as a diploma project «agglo is beautiful.» shows a walk from the city of zurich to baden along the limmat riverside. the picture book gives a distinct insight into the living area of the over 70% of the swiss population dwelling these days in a complex and comprehensive agglomeration.

 

this region is often used by visitors as a transit corridor, to be passed as quickly as possible. but a closer look offers a large number of in between spaces in immediate vicinity to points of interests. industrial areals, residential buildings, green spaces and a surrounding traffic system are the framework of this agglomeration. «agglo is beautiful.» gives space to common places and ordinary objects in the limmat valley, which we often overlook in our daily perception.
