berndt höppner is a teacher, artist and co-founder of the studies of visual communication and fine art at the zurich university of the arts. the booklet «mit linien kommunizieren» presents his last drawing project at the studies of visual communication in 2003. this documentaion points out the entire developing process of thirteen student-works, their search and understanding for new signs, various drawing instruments, media and visual complexity. the different sketches, scrawls and drawings build the vade mecum of this booklet.
